It's Time for a Will Update

Comments

Aw! Lovely to read about your lovely William My son Jacob will be 6 mth in 2 weeks time, so it's nice to relate to a baby of a similar age. He's not weaned yet, we're trying the BLW approach, and also not quite sitting alone yet so well done Will!! Have to agree about those knuckle dimples, tho the elbow ones are just as cute!
Will isn't weaned yet either. I'm still nursing him every three hours when I'm at home with him and adding in the solids for breakfast and supper. He nurses a little less then in the mornings, but mostly the same otherwise.
I think I'm in love with chubby baby fingers and knuckle dimples.

I have a friend whose baby will eat avocado if she mixes it with rice cereal, but not by itself. You could try that.

My guy likes to rub at himself during diaper changes. I give him a toy to distract him before I start taking clothes off. Just a small little toy that he can suck or bite. I think it might be something all baby boys do, because I when I was pregnant (and knew it was a boy) a mom telling me about it. I don't know if the area itches or if doing that tickles them and feels funny.

Sorry, by weaned I mean he's not starting solids yet. Must be a British term! I am still nursing him, buthe's not quite ready for solids yet. We're currently recommended in Britain to wait for 6 monthsbut as my 1st son was ready for purees at 4 months, I wasn't sure if we'd wait that long. But son#2 is quite happy on milk alone for the time being. So we're going for BLW "baby led weaning" which means no purees, straight onto finger foods!

Regarding boy bits...they start so young huh?! They don't really grow out of it. As soon as he wakes up, son#1 who is 3 now, has to check it's still there! Like Silver said, giving them a changing toy is a great idea, especially when changing a really dirty nappy!
